▍Application Areas : Highly effective waterproof finishing agent suitable for fabrics of various fiber types.       

When used in combination with synergist SL-5528D, excellent wash fastness can be achieved.  

 

 

 

 

 

▍Nature : White emulsion              

Specific gravity at 20 ℃ : about 1.0g/ cm3

▍Combined use can give all fiber types of fabrics durable water repellency.             

SL-5528D pre-added

0.5 ml/l 60% acetic acid to adjust the pH value of the solution.   

 

SL-5528D can be easily dispersed in water by stirring .

 

Shearing forces may damage the emulsion .

Do not stir the solution at high speed.

The residual surfactant (surfactant, refining agent) will reduce the

 

Water effect, so the fabric to be treated must be

Adequate pretreatment to ensure that no surface-active substances, alkalis or multivalent salts remain.

 

It is recommended to use a fine mesh screen or  

 

Filter through a filter.

 

Durable waterproof

 

For durable water and stain resistance we recommend:

 

30 - 100 g/l SL-5528D    

 

7.5 – 12.5 g/l or 4.0 – 6.5 g/l         

Liquid carry rate 60 - 80 %    

 

Drying /baking 150° C , 2 min or 160 ° C , 1 min/170 ° C , 30 s    

 

Choose appropriate baking conditions to ensure that the fabric is fully baked.

 

Longer roasting times may reduce effectiveness.

 

For polyester, durable waterproofing can sometimes be achieved without adding synergists.

 

Add synergist, usually dry at 130 ℃ to fix SL-5528D on polyester   

 

A preliminary test is recommended.

 

Regarding the penetration issue:

If you encounter penetration problems, we recommend adding:

10 - 20 g/l    

 

To ensure good penetration and uniform liquid extrusion.

 

The penetrant must be added before the other solution components.

 

Use with other products

 

The effect of SL-5528D is based on the microscopic orderly arrangement of hyperbranched and comb-like polymers on the fabric. 

Surfactants, such as emulsifiers in other products, may disrupt this automatic arrangement and reduce water resistance.

Effect.

We recommend heat treatment above 65°C after each wash (tumble dry at " strong heat " or 

Ironing) to regain

Good waterproof effect.

 

When using SL-5528D in combination with other products, please conduct experiments beforehand.  

 

Impact on subsequent processing

 

Considering that there are many possible factors affecting fabric fastness or other general properties, such as: pretreatment,

 

Dyeing, printing,

 

The interactive effects of finishing and subsequent coating, lamination or gluing should be confirmed by experiments in advance.

If the fabric is to be coated or laminated after finishing, we recommend testing the adhesion strength of the coating and lamination in advance. If necessary , the coating slurry needs to be adjusted to suit. 

 

Spray Application Information

The chemical will produce aerosol during the spraying process, which is potentially harmful to the human body. Therefore, if the spraying process is used, it must be carried out in a closed device or in a well-ventilated working environment. Do not inhale the suspended aerosol!     

 

 

▍Storage : This product is sensitive to extreme cold and heat. Do not store it below 5°C or above 40 °C . Otherwise, irreversible changes may occur.             

If you suspect that the product has been frozen or overheated and has deteriorated, you should test it before use.
